Think UPP
I believe in three core pillars of thought for leading this city into a prosperous future. UNITY. PROGRESS. PROSPERITY.
I refer to these together as THINKING UPP.
Small town West Point is not immune to the social dilemma of a divided nation. An argument can be made that social divisions are amplified in smaller places. The same is true for a community coming together. I want to see a fresh start for West Point – a community reinvigorated with a sense of purpose. But it is impossible to move forward alone, it takes a community working together toward a common goal – unifying for progress to prosper.
One of my favorite quotes explains that there’s no such thing as stagnation – you’re either growing or dying. Look around and you’ll see communities investing in themselves to be well-positioned to attract industry. City and county leadership has done a good job to this point, but the job is never finished. We are on the verge of accomplishing something special in West Point – now is not the time to let off the gas. Growth is the progress that leads to prosperity.
I support the continued development of West Point’s working & middle class. When it comes to prosperity, jobs are important, but the right jobs are instrumental. We need jobs our workforce can tackle with enthusiasm and pride, and offer a variety of opportunities to earn an honest living. Bringing these jobs to West Point will offer an elevated quality of life to our community.
My life is here.
My business is here.
My family is here.
I am here for West Point.
“I believe we are truly STRONGER TOGETHER.”
West Point, Mississippi, is on the map… let’s keep it that way. This town is full of life. This town is full of opportunity for continued growth. This town is headed in the right direction! Together we can become stronger; we can continue to build a community in which prosperity and equality is one of our most notable assets.
